Background & Experience

Adam Pernsteiner is a well-rounded corporate attorney who advises clients across the life cycle of a business. His practice is primarily focused on contract and business disputes, professional liability, and appellate practice. In the context of professional liability, Adam frequently handles malpractice lawsuits against professionals, such as lawyers, insurance agents, and real estate brokers. He also defends professionals in related disciplinary proceedings before public and quasi-public regulatory bodies, such as the Nevada Real Estate Division and the State Bar of Nevada.

In the commercial arena, Adam represents a variety of clients in contract, business, and collection matters. He also serves as ongoing outside counsel for several large corporate clients, including well-known national gaming properties and healthcare facilities. Adam provides frequent counsel on a variety of matters to his business clients, ranging from vendor agreements and risk assessment to data privacy and international law.

Prior to entering private practice in 2003, Adam served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Deborah Agosti.

In 2022, Adam was appointed to a three-year term to the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board, which is responsible for conducting screenings and hearings for the Office of Bar Counsel. Depending on the type of hearing, panel members serve as jurors and hear the presentation of discipline cases where there are allegations of professional misconduct.

Adam received his undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, from The University of San Diego in Political Science and his J.D., Cum Laude, from The University of Toledo College of Law. He also earned his Ph.D., ABD, from The University of South Carolina, where he served as a Visiting Professor of Constitutional Law and Graduate Professor of Public Law and Theory.

When not working, Adam is a frequent international traveler and enjoys long-distance cycling, snow skiing, and spending time with his wife and children.
