Noah V. Malgeri brings over 25 years of experience in technology law, focusing his practice on intellectual property litigation and comprehensive IP counsel. His specialty encompasses patent prosecution, trademark and copyright protection, trade secrets, and complex technology law including AI, blockchain, SaaS and internet law.
Noah brings a unique synthesis of engineering background, corporate leadership, and high-stakes courtroom experience to his practice. Prior to joining Kearney, Puzey & Damonte, he served as Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Axel LLC, where he led all legal operations and managed an international patent portfolio for a blockchain and network security technology enterprise. His leadership background also includes serving as Director of The Pro Bono Project at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and founder of an engineering firm where he secured two U.S. patents for his own mechanical inventions.
Noah offers brand owners, corporate counsel, and national IP boutiques lead counsel and strategic local co-counsel representation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. He focuses on rapid-response emergency relief, including securing emergency temporary restraining orders (TROs), preliminary injunctions, and ex parte counterfeit seizure orders under the Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. ยง 1116(d)) and Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA). Noah offers assistance impounding infringing products, seizing promotional collateral, and executing court-ordered remediations on the show floors of major trade events, including CES, SEMA, NAB Show, and MAGIC. Additionally, he offers businesses and commercial litigators counsel in navigating patent demand letters, District of Nevada Local Patent Rules compliance, trade secret forensic protocols under NRS Chapter 600A, and complex IP transactional due diligence.
Earlier in his career, Noah practiced IP litigation and prosecution at premier national firms, including Troutman Pepper, Fish & Richardson, and Cooley. In these roles, he litigated high-profile patent disputes before U.S. District Courts across the country and the International Trade Commission (ITC), executed IP due diligence for corporate transactions, and counseled tech sector clients across software, defense, automotive, aerospace, and medical device sectors.
Noah also served as a Captain and prosecutor in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, earning the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service during combat operations in Iraq.
Noah earned his B.S. summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, his J.D. with high honors (Order of the Coif) from The George Washington University Law School, and an LL.M. from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in Nevada, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
